Thorburn Bernice Lucille, age 84, passed quietly January 19, 2002 at home in Eden Prairie, MN. Born in Hawley, MN on January 4, 1918, graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1940 and taught school before marrying in 1942. Preceded in death by husband, Gordon; parents, Frank and Marie Auld; and 5 brothers. Survived by 3 children, Janel Carlson (WA), Jim (Diane) Thorburn (TX), and LeAnne Thorburn (MN); 6 grandchildren, Melissa Koch (SC), Sara Carlson (HI), Abbie Carlson (FL), Alex Carlson (MT), Shanda and Salena Thorburn (TX); 3 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Ella and Rachel Koch (SC). Funeral service Friday, January 25, 2002 at 7:00 PM, at Crystal Lake Funeral Home, corner of Penn and Dowling Aves N., Mpls. Visitation 1½ hours prior to service. Interment Saturday, January 26, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Crystal, MN.
