Myers Arlene Marie ''Denny'', age 69, of St. Paul, passed away August 19, 2002 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul D. Myers; parents, Henry and Emma Donkers; and brother Charles Donkers. She is survived by children, Paulette (David) Rich, Susan (Steve) Myers, Gretchen (D. Wayne) Boque, Teresa (Bruce) Jacobsen, Michelle (Raymond) Berg, John Myers, Joe (Sheila) Myers, and Laura (Mike) Griffin). She will be missed by her siblings, Helen (Joe) Tillman, Duane (Mary Helen) Donkers, Clem Donkers, Ora (Bill) Dorgan; as well as 17 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Arlene had a servant's heart which was displayed both professionally as a Registered Nurse and personally in her many acts of kindness to family, friends, and neighbors. As a volunteer she worked as a reading tutor, school nurse, for meals on wheels, and voter registration. She loved nature, was an able photographer, an avid reader, and could bake an outstanding apple pie. She loved Sinatra, marching bands, leisurely walks, and visits to the Dairy Queen. She quietly collected cartoons, old handkerchiefs, and the joys and concerns of each and every one of her children. Funeral leaving Willwerscheid & Peters Mortuary, 1167 Grand Ave, St. Paul at 9:40 AM Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Summit Avenue 1 block east of Snelling, St. Paul, 10 AM Tuesday. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
