Speaker Anne Callender passed away 3/26/01 in Apalachicola, FL. Preceded in death by husband, Arthur H.; parents, William & Irene Callender; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by daughter, Linda Krona of Minnetonka; grandson, Keith Krona of Minnetonka; grandson, Kirk Krona & wife Maureen, 3 great-grandsons Alex, Derek and Kyle Krona, all of Maple Grove; son, Arthur Speaker III; numerous nieces and nephews. She was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in Naperville. She and her husband moved to Minnesota in the mid 1940's and became longtime residents of the Lake Minnetonka area. In later years, they spent summers boating on Lake of the Woods and Lake Superior. They also traveled the U.S. extensively and spent winters in Florida and Texas. She was an avid gardener, loved sports, and had a great interest in politics. She was a kind and gentle person, and she is deeply missed and forever loved. Interment was at Lakewood Cemetery.
