Chenier Alva "Ruth", age 82, of S. Mpls, died peacefully on June 29, 2003. Survived by her husband, Preston; sister, Gladys Rice; children, H. Steven Childs, Maurice Chenier (Sheila), Roslyn Chenier Robinson (Frederick); grandchildren, Remington Noble, Monique, Sheena, and Jordan Chenier; in addition to in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation is on Saturday, July 5th at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am at St. Peter's A.M.E. Church, 401 E. 41st St., Mpls. (612) 825-9750.
