Engel Alma Lena, 97, of Howard Lake, passed away September 12 at the Good Samaritan Home in Howard Lake. Funeral service Tuesday, 2 PM at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake. Visitation Monday, 4-8 PM at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake, and 1 hour prior to service at church, prayer service at 7 PM. Survived by children, Elwood (Marvel) of Howard Lake, Vernon of Howard Lake, Evelyn (Dean) Wallentine of Chanhassen and Jean (Ron) Wikstrom of Las Vegas; brother, Ed Schendel of Cokato; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandsons. Interment at Howard Lake City Cemetery. Arrangements by Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home, 320-543-3401.
