Garrity Allie Mae, age 77, passed away peacefully May 21, 2002. She was born in Falmouth, Florida on September 14, 1924 and grew up in an orphanage in Live Oak, FL. Allie went to college in Aurora, IL and studied home economics. She met Robert W. Garrity when he was on leave in Florida. They were married and lived in San Diego, CA while he finished his term in the U.S. Navy. They then moved to Minnesota, where he was born and raised. Allie never quite got used to Minnesota winters after growing up in Florida. She was a full-time mom and when most of her children were grown she worked for sixteen years as an audiometer inspector at Maico Hearing Instruments. Allie was a very giving, loving mother and person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survived by her 5 children, Peggy (Jerry), Pat (Barb), Tom, Ed, Mary (Gerry); 10 grandchildren, Jeff, Eric, Kelley, Kristi, Brian, Jennifer, Mike, Dan, Leah and Jared; and 7 great-grandchildren, Gage, Garett, Andrew, Kendra, Devin, Aaron and James.
