Moore Allan Quincy Moore, an authority on grain and grain products, died peacefully July 16, 2002 in Los Angeles, CA at the age of 94. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Moore, Pasadena, CA; daughter, Mary Lou Miller, Wilmington, NC; son, Charles ''Buzz'' Moore, St. Petersburg, FL; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Allan was born on August 31, 1907 in Kansas City, MO. After high school he joined the Pillsbury Company as a clerk in a Kansas grain elevator. He married Nellouise Waddington in 1930 and they lived happily until her death in 1979. His career at Pillsbury was quite remarkable, rising from his initial position to become Executive Vice President of the Pillsbury Company. After he retired in 1964, he and several colleagues in Minneapolis formed Experience Incorporated, to assist agricultural companies and governments of emerging countries in Africa, Asia, and South America. He lived a long, active and full life. He was a past member of Rotary International; Chicago Board of Trade; Minneapolis Grain Exchange. He was a skilled musician, playing the piano and organ for his friends and civic groups.
